For those who have caught the first couple of episodes of this year’s Hard Knocks series, you’ve seen the Bengals in action in their daily practices and events that transpire throughout the course of training camp.

Cincinnati had a great showing against the Atlanta Falcons in their first preseason outing, cruising to a 34-10 victory. Wide receiver A.J. Green didn’t make the trip, but there were a lot of good things to happen on both offense and defense for the Bengals.

They will try to carry that over into the second preseason game, this time at home against Tennessee. The run defense could be tested for a few series depending on how often Titans’ running back Chris Johnson sees the field.

Offensively, Green returned to practice this week, though his status for the game against the Titans is up in the air. Cincinnati is probably in no hurry to get him out there for an exhibition matchup though, so it’s not expected that he will play.

Tennessee got a narrow 22-21 win over the Washington Redskins last week. This included a 58-yard touchdown run by Johnson, who finished the night with two carries for 60 yards. It was a productive night though, as the Titans’ running back is expected to have a big season.

Johnson will probably get more than a pair of carries on Saturday versus Cincinnati, but we’ll have to wait and see the game plan and approach.
