Kansas City has been on a journey forward, moving on with a new regime from the last season. New coach, new quarterback, new system. When Andy Reid was hired, Kansas City fans knew that things were going to look quite a bit different. Bringing in Alex Smith was probably one of the better decisions that the organization made, as both Reid and Smith Can grow together with the new system.
The Chiefs will have the tall task of competing with Denver in the AFC West this season, but despite winning two games in 2012, they are predicted to at least give the Broncos some sort of a difficult road.
This is an important last preseason game for Kansas City, certainly more so for them than the Packers. Green Bay is solidified in their system and knows what it wants to do. It will simply be a matter of going out and executing during the regular season.
The Chiefs are still in that learning curve, so while we might not see Aaron Rodgers in this one, we do expect to see Alex Smith continue to play a few series and continue to work in the system. Of course, we do not know how much of the playbook the Chiefs have shown this preseason.
