The Dolphins are 2-0 for just the second time in the last 10 seasons, and things are looking good for Miami so far. But it’s about to get a lot tougher with Atlanta coming to town. Though for the Falcons, a series of key injuries will force this team to change their game plan.

Perhaps the biggest loss is running back Steven Jackson, who will be out 2-4 weeks with a hip injury he suffered during a touchdown reception against St. Louis on Sunday. Jackson was brought in from the Rams this offseason and is expected to be the guy for the run game. With Jackson out, Atlanta will rely on the tandem of Jacquizz Rodgers and Jason Snelling.

Atlanta also lost leading tackler Sean Weatherspoon. The linebacker is out until at least Week 11 with a foot injury, put on the Injured Reserve list but scheduled to return. This is another injury that hurts Atlanta.

And of course let’s not forget about receiver Roddy White being hampered by an ankle sprain as well. The list is certainly long.

For the Dolphins, they come in off of wins against Cleveland and Indianapolis. Last week’s win over the Colts was surprising, but Miami looks like they could be the real deal to contend with New England in the AFC East.

This will be the biggest test so far for the Dolphins, with the Miami secondary sure to be challenged by Julio Jones, Tony Gonzalez, and Harry Douglas. Even if White isn’t about to take the field there are still some dangerous playmakers.
