The Packers rebounded from a poor start this season to pull to .500 on the season at 2-2 with a big win over the Detroit Lions. The Green Bay defense held Detroit to just nine points on the afternoon. That is a good sign going forward if the Packers are able to limit opposing offenses, but it just got more difficult with the loss of linebacker Clay Matthews for a few weeks due to a broken thumb that he suffered on Sunday.

Matthews is arguably the best player on defense that Green Bay has, and replacing his presence on the field will not be an easy task to overcome.

But the Packers are an offensive-driven team, led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Running back Eddie Lacy racked up 99 yard last week which is definitely a good sign heading into this matchup with Baltimore. Green Bay does not want to get one dimensional against this defense.

After throwing five interceptions in Week 4, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco follows that up with just one interception last week. Though his performance still wasn’t that great, with no touchdowns thrown in the 26-23 victory over Miami.

Ray Rice had two scores on the day, which is definitely good news. Rice will be a mismatch against the Packers defense, especially with Matthews expected to be out for the game. Receiver Torrey Smith continues to have a good season, hauling in six receptions for 121 yards last week. Look for him to have a big game as well.
